Artephile Studio offers small-group, hands-on creative experiences for children and families. From weekly kids art classes to toddler art playdates, seasonal workshops, Kids Night Out events and birthday paint parties, each program is designed to make art approachable, engaging and confidence-building.
Our Kanata art programs explore a variety of materials and techniques including drawing, watercolor, acrylic painting, clay, mixed media, illustration, texture, pattern and craft-based art. Children learn real techniques while still having room to experiment and make creative choices of their own.

🎨 Kids Art Classes
Ages 6–12 · Thursdays · Kanata North
Four-week monthly sessions featuring a rotating mix of painting, drawing, clay and mixed-media projects. Techniques and complexity are modified for age-appropriate instruction.
🖐️ Toddler Art Playdates
Ages 18 months–3 years · Parent/caregiver participates
A gentle parent-and-toddler art experience with process art, painting, textures, sensory-inspired creative play and time to connect with other local families.
✨ Kids Art Workshops
One-time and seasonal art workshops give kids a chance to try a special project without committing to a monthly class. New workshop dates are announced throughout the year.
🌙 Kids Night Out
Supervised drop-off evenings that combine a guided art project with dinner, a kids movie and a relaxed night of fun.

Do children need previous art experience?
No. Projects are taught step by step and adjusted for age and skill level, making the classes suitable for beginners as well as children who already enjoy drawing and painting.
