APRIL Theme: Colorful Explorations (Color Theory)
This month, artists will dive into the world of color — exploring how colors mix, interact, and bring artwork to life! Through playful and hands-on projects, children will build a strong foundation in color theory while expressing their creativity in exciting ways. 🎨🌈
We’ll begin with a bold Color Wheel Lion’s Mane mixed-media artwork, where artists explore primary and secondary colors while creating a vibrant, textured mane full of personality. 🦁
Next, we’ll paint a Warm & Cool Sun–Moon composition, learning how color temperature can change mood and atmosphere by contrasting a bright sunny scene with a calm, cool night. 🌞🌙
Artists will then create a fun Piece of Cake painting, using complementary colors and simple perspective techniques to make their artwork pop with contrast and depth. 🍰
To wrap up the month, we’ll paint a Lemon study using tints and shades, exploring how adding white and black changes a color’s value while creating a fresh and realistic composition. 🍋✨
